Original, decision-useful writing
Descriptions are written for the individual branch using location-specific menu, price, service and verification facts. We do not publish copied restaurant descriptions, stitched review excerpts, keyword blocks or near-identical city pages.
Sources and attribution
Official restaurant menus and websites are preferred for menu, dietary, noodle-production and reservation claims. Attributed business data may support identity, hours and service attributes. Source links and check dates appear on listing pages so readers can judge freshness.
AI-assisted research
Software can help organize source material and draft text, but it cannot turn an unsupported fact into a confirmed claim. Indexing does not remove the requirement to preserve uncertainty, cite sources and correct material errors. Advertising eligibility remains a separate review decision.
Ratings and reviews
Imported third-party ratings are not displayed and never enter AggregateRating or Review structured data. If Ramen Scout later collects first-party reader ratings, they will use a separate moderation, fraud-prevention and disclosure policy.
Images and rights
Google-hosted photos and logos remain staging references only. We publish photography only when reuse rights, creator credit and licensing are documented. Original editorial illustrations do not depict a listed restaurant or menu item unless that relationship is explicitly stated.
Advertising
Ads are disabled on all current listings. After a page passes editorial and AdSense gates, any ad placement must be clearly labelled, visually distinct from filters and restaurant actions, and secondary to publisher content. We will not sell higher organic placement or disguise sponsored material as an editorial result.
Conflicts and corrections
Restaurants may submit factual corrections but cannot purchase favourable coverage, filter eligibility or hidden removal of a legitimate caveat. Material corrections are reviewed against a current source and dated.
