Restaurant discovery often stops at a name, a pin and a rating. That is not enough when you are looking for a particular broth, need a complete vegan bowl, want a late dinner or need to know whether a reservation is possible. Ramen Scout organizes those decision-making facts while showing where uncertainty remains.
Canada-wide, locally useful
The directory currently covers 413 active ramen-relevant restaurants across 105 cities. Large chains are treated as individual branches because hours, menus and services can differ by address. Mixed-menu restaurants stay only when ramen is a meaningful part of the offering.
Published by Nocturnal Devs
Ramen Scout Canada is published by Nocturnal Devs, an independent Toronto product studio that builds mobile and web products, including location-first directories. Nocturnal Devs supports the site’s technology, data organization and publishing systems. Editorial claims still have to meet Ramen Scout’s evidence standards.
Evidence before labels
We do not infer tonkotsu from a restaurant name, call a dish vegan because it lacks visible meat, or describe a restaurant as halal based on an unverified attribute. Positive filters require explicit support. When the source is missing or ambiguous, the page says “Not confirmed.”
Editorial responsibility
Research and first drafts may be assisted by software, but every visible claim must stay traceable to its stated source and uncertainty must remain explicit. Advertising is disabled while the directory continues through additional editorial, schema and policy review.
